Ferdinand Emil Jagenberg founded a paper wholesale business in Düsseldorf. Twelve years later he built the first slitter rewinder for the production of his own paper rolls.


In 1917, the sole proprietorship was converted into a corporation. Jagenberg is located in the new industrial building at Himmelgeister Straße in Düsseldorf.


The major shareholder Rheinmetall AG, Düsseldorf, decided to divest the Jagenberg machine building business. The sole remaining subisdiary after reaching the final stage of selling-off „former Jagenberg“  is company Kampf, which is specialised in slitting & winding machinery.



Kleinewefers took over the majority of shares of Jagenberg AG (and its sole remaining subisdiary Kampf) and created the basis for a new start of Jagenberg-Group.


Jagenberg AG acquired Eduard Küsters Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, Krefeld, from the Küsters family, including all affiliated companies worldwide. Küsters is a leading machinery manufacturer for roll and calender technologies for the finishing of Textile, Nonwoven and Paper applications.


Jagenberg acquired insolvent TAG Composites & Carpets and significantly improved business growth and structure.


Jagenberg AG takes over majority of the shares of Lebbing engineering & consulting GmbH, Bocholt. From now on, Lebbing's high competence in drive and automation Engineering as well as visualization will be offered to Jagenberg's affiliated companies and customers.


Kleinewefers increased its shares of Jagenberg AG up to 100% after squeeze-out.

Jagenberg acquired Verseidag-Indutex GmbH and Verseidag Ballistic Protection GmbH – including their subsidiaries in Finland, Great Britain and the United States of America.

Moreover acquisition of machine tool building company Monforts (Mönchengladbach, Germany). This is the starting point for a new field of business:
Division "Real Estate".

Foundation of Jagenberg Paper Systems GmbH.

Verseidag-Indutex takes over Division Composites of TAG Composites & Carpets GmbH.
As a result, the available premises are developed and later marketed as Businesspark LOG|WERK.


Kampf Schneid- und Wickeltechnik GmbH & Co. KG took over all shares of LSF Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG.

Foundation of Jagenberg Textile GmbH & Co. KG.


Kleinewefers reacquires its original headquarter in Krefeld and starts marketing of business park under the Name K2 Tower + Industriepark.


Jagenberg acquires Polytype Converting from WIFAG-Polytype and starts a joint-venture with Olbrich GmbH. Olbrich integrates ist Coating Technology into Polytype Converting GmbH, Hamburg. Foundation of Polytype Converting AG, Fribourg, Schweiz.

Foundation of Lebbing automation & drives US Corp., Spartanburg, USA.

Februar 2018

By February 2018, through the acquisition of the 26% stake previously held by joint venture partner Calico, Jagenberg AG became the sole shareholder of Küsters Calico Machinery. As a further declaration of belief in its Indian subsidiary, a new production hall was built, which represents a 33% expansion of the original production capacity. Moreover Jagenberg completed a comprehensive investment programme for machinery.

April 2018

KAMPF Schneid- und Wickeltechnik opened the new subsidiary "Kampf Technology Changzhou" in Jintan, a district of Changzhou, with a festive ceremony on April 23rd.
