Kampf Unicon for PETROPLAST – Growing a trusted partnership
A look inside the assembly hall at Kampf GmbH reveals: the Unicon slitting machine which PETROPLAST GmbH had ordered during K 2025, will soon expand the production capabilities of the Neuss-based specialist in processing a wide range of packaging materials. The project marks the next milestone in a long-standing and successful partnership for both companies. Following an intensive selection process, the renewed decision in favor of Kampf confirms the mutual trust between the two companies.
PETROPLAST has been operating Kampf slitters successfully for many years. With the new Unicon, the company is strategically expanding its processing capabilities and broadening its portfolio for the packaging materials of tomorrow. The machine is designed to process particularly heavy and large-format materials as well as fiber-based packaging solutions, catering to the growing demand for more sustainable packaging concepts.
For PETROPLAST, this investment represents far more than additional production capacity. It strengthens the company's position as a competent converting partner for a broad range of materials, offering customers even greater flexibility – from conventional plastic films to innovative paper- and fiber-based packaging materials. Customers will benefit from state-of-the-art slitting technology, reliable production processes, and the high quality standards of a BRC-certified company.
“One of the key success factors of this project has been Kampf’s professional project management. Immediately after the order was placed, the project teams of both companies began an intensive exchange. During several design meetings, we aligned technical details, defined individual customer requirements, and developed and approved safety concepts in close cooperation.“
Ben Schmidt
Senior Sales Manager at Kampf
At the same time, Kampf kept PETROPLAST up-to-date about the project's progress regularly through continuous status updates and photos documenting the assembly process. This created a transparent and trusting collaboration right from the start, providing both parties with planning reliability and ensuring that the new machine can be commissioned and brought into production as quickly as possible.
It also demonstrates that today's machinery projects go far beyond machine delivery. Engineering expertise, technical consulting, service, and close project support throughout the entire implementation process are key factors for long-term success.
“A successful project implementation at the customer's site begins long before commissioning. Close coordination with PETROPLAST's specialists and thorough on-site preparation provide the foundation for a smooth and successful implementation.“
